Global Operations Finance Senior Manager – FP&A & Life Sciences
Job Summary
This role is a key, hands-on position responsible for Global Operations FP&A and Lead Finance for Global Life Sciences. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Global Operations Finance, you will also have a dotted reporting line into the VP of Global Life Sciences for whom you will be the key business partner. The role will business partner with the operations finance leadership and life sciences
Monthly variance analysis of close results
Lead quarterly forecast process
Develop presentation support for sr. leadership
Lead annual operations planning process & long-term planning
Create standardized reporting and analysis across the globe
Lead Global Life Sciences activity across the globe including closing, forecasting and annual budgets
Essential Functions & Accountabilities
Participate as a key member of the Global Operations Finance team and Global Life Sciences management team
Work closely with the Global Operations Sr. Director Finance and VP of Global Life Sciences to identify risks and opportunities on our financial performance and the advice on how to best approach them
Manage the annual budget process, monthly closing, and quarterly forecast preparation
Develop and implement process improvements to enable more efficient and accurate reporting
Support Global Long Range Strategic Financial Planning process and key strategic initiative, delivering insightful information on a consistent and standardized basis to enhance management decision making.
Business Partner with Cooper Surgical finance team to ensure accurate and timely reporting of monthly results and drive an early month-end close
Manage two employees
Generate and Publish Monthly KPI’s
Perform other duties as required
Scope
This person will lead Global Operations FP&A and support Life Sciences leadership, providing insight into key operational results, analytics, forecasting and lead budgeting efforts and develop presentations for senior management. This is a highly visible role requiring sharp financial insight, analytical and business partnering skills, in-depth, end-to-end systems knowledge as well as business acumen.

Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Work closely with Operations, Regional and Corporate management to ensure Operations Finance is a “Trusted Business Partner”
Direct, hands-on experience in creating, tracking, and controlling actual, forecasts and budget metrics.
Ability to analyze actual vs. plan results and summarize underlying drivers of variances as well as providing clear and succinct interpretation of results to management.
Ability to participate in multi-cultural, multi-linguistic operating environment
Quickness of comprehension and aptitude for learning
Understanding of accounting expertise, including good working knowledge of US GAAP & SOX.

Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience within operations, supply chain or controllership
A US multi-national company
