This position supports the Vice President of Healthcare Strategy accomplishment of the goals for the Provider Data Intelligence Suite (PDIS) in our Health Care business unit. This position is responsible to update and extend the vision for PDIS. Once that vision is established, this position will create the strategy to achieve that goal and oversee the execution of that goal, working across a matrix organization to provide leadership and accountability through persuasion. Simply put, this position will direct the Provider Data Intelligence Suite solution line and maximize the growth revenue of the solution line.


Note that LexisNexis Risk Solutions Provider Data Intelligence Suits focuses on data and metadata about providers (health care facilities and health care organizations), not the "EMR" clinical data created by providers.


The candidate must excel at performing market and competitive analysis, identifying implications and quickly communicating significant and actionable recommendations in the areas of market position, pricing, product enhancement and delivery. The candidate will be expected to monitor market trends, regulation, competition and provide in-depth research and innovative solution enhancements to internal stakeholders to ensure product solutions lines remain competitive in the market. The candidate must have experience and skill working with provider data.


Accountabilities




  • Serve as a subject matter expert in Provider Data

  • Develop and maintain the vision and strategy for the Provider Data Intelligence suite of products.

  • Review and evaluate product performance on a continuing basis; provide direction for modification in work plans or implementation of contingency plans in accordance with prevailing business conditions.

  • Identify timely and appropriate business plans to support the strategic goals of the product suite. Work with matrixed cross functional teams on the development of the business case.

  • Support relationships with key accounts, industry and trade associations, representatives of government, public service organizations, customers, and vendors as necessary in the overall management of the market area.

  • Review the activities within the market area for strengths and weaknesses and take corrective action when necessary.

  • Ensure the proper prioritization and execution of the market vision and strategy.

  • Develop recommendations appropriate for new product concepts and existing product modifications in line with the defined vision and strategy.

  • Assess market competition and customer demand for new product innovations and existing product enhancements.

  • Identify and manage business cases that drive value in the product line.

  • Establish credibility as market-facing subject matter expert through thought leadership including publications, leading webinars, and conference presentations; participate in driving the pervading messaging in the

  • Identify and build strategic partnerships that further the execution of the vision and market strategy.

  • Set the strategic priorities for data acquisition, product development, and product innovation.

  • Facilitate action to accomplish market strategy by working in a matrix cross functional team (finance, product development, editorial, marketing, sales) to execute go-to-market strategies in the specific market area.

  • Set the strategic positioning for the Provider Data Intelligence products to yield successful growth in each market area.

  • Initiate and develop pricing and contract strategies; recommend pricing actions and promotional programs in support of the product suite's defined vision, strategy, and revenue plan.

  • Develop and recommend sales channel strategy utilizing market research.

  • Support strategic sales opportunities.

  • Establish and maintain appropriate communications within and between various functional areas within the market area of responsibility.

  • Accountable for revenue objectives for the product suite.



Qualifications




  • Requires MBA or equivalent educational achievement or professional experience.

  • Requires a minimum of 10+ years related technical and professional experience working with provider data

  • The candidate must have significant professional experience in the use and application of provider data within one of the following market segments: US healthcare payer organizations, US provider organizations, US pharmacy organizations, healthcare technology companies, or life sciences organizations.

  • Skills required include business acumen, strategic planning, organizational assessment, creativity, highly developed leadership and interpersonal skills, quantitative analytical abilities, and outstanding communication skills.

  • The ability to work effectively within a matrix organization.
