We are hiring a hybrid entry-level Mechanical Designer in our Cedar Rapids office starting ASAP.
What do you get to do in this position?
Provide design support in the root cause analysis of product performance challenges and contribute to the development and documentation of the corrective or preventive action.
Support product engineering with the identification and execution of continuous improvement projects to enhance performance, quality and manufacturability of components, assemblies, and products. Coordinate with prototype lab to develop models to prove out design concepts.
Lead design reviews of models, drawings, and documentation to ensure that design intent is maintained and best practices are followed to ensure world class product performance, quality, and reliability.
Support the creation/update of Design Failure Mode Effects Analysis (DFMEA) documents for products within portfolio. Maintain product documentation (bills of material, engineering drawings, deviations, etc ...)
