Best Buy Advertising is seeking a Manager, Retail Media Product Development. Our team provides customized advertising solutions for brands who want to reach our highly valuable tech-conscious consumer. We take a consultative approach to crafting media recommendations and ensuring maximum results for our clients with seamless operations in a fast-paced, dynamic business environment. As a Manager, Retail Media Product Development, you will be responsible for helping to define and build the product strategy for our growing advertising portfolio leveraging data, research, and stakeholder input to help deliver products that inspire our customers while fueling the growth of our advertising business.

As a member of the Best Buy Advertising team, you will be an integral part of defining the future state of our media marketplace presence and positioning Best Buy for growth in the digital media and advertising industry. While building the future state product and marketplace strategy, you will be a part of uncovering where and how we can accelerate growth while simultaneously building for the future.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Contribute to the strategy, development, and execution of the product roadmap for onsite display, native display, and programmatic display. This role will work to grow the onsite display program as well as differentiate Best Buy within the Retail Media space with onsite display as a leading product offering.

  • Execute market, consumer, and client research to inform product strategy.

  • Build partnerships across internal business, technology, and marketing teams to deliver best in class advertising opportunities.

  • Mange 3rd party vendor relationships and act as point of contact between internal and external development teams.

  • Advise on new opportunities for monetization in the digital advertising space and be the subject matter expert in new capabilities.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5 or more years of progressive marketing or media experience

  • 2 or more years of cross-functional leadership experience (direct or indirect)

  • Familiarity with ad server technology and media advertising supply platforms (eg. Google, Criteo, Amazon, etc.)

  • Experience with media buying and selling including the full lifecycle of a campaign from concept through analysis

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related 4-year degree program

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strategic, curious, and influential leader who can uncover connection points and drive ambiguous work forward within a complex organization

  • Demonstrated experience with defining product objectives and key results and managing in an agile model

  • Agency or digital publishing background strongly preferred
