EverCommerce is seeking a reliable and highly organized person to join us as a Benefits Specialist on our Total Rewards team. The Benefit Specialist is responsible for managing day to day tasks within the benefits department which include the administration of retirement and health and welfare benefits to answering employee inquires and process weekly reporting/invoices.
This position requires a highly organized professional with working knowledge of benefit administration, principles, and procedures. To be successful in this role, one must demonstrate track record of being a self-started with the initiative and perseverance to deliver results and excellent ability to efficiently perform several tasks concurrently while work independently in a deadline driven environment.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Researching, analyzing, and administering healthcare, insurance, retirement, fringe, and wellness programs.
Process all weekly carrier reports for enrollments; Ensures the accuracy of all benefits enrollments into Workday to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information; Verify and manage EDI file feed submissions/corrections.
Assists with new-hire orientations; Provide new hires with explanations of benefits and instructing them on enrollment and fulfillment procedures.
Manage the employee ticketing system for employee benefit, time off and leave of absence inquiries full cycle. Answer employees regarding benefits claim issues and plan changes.
Assists with the open enrollment process.
Distributes all benefits enrollment materials and determines eligibility; Enrolls employees with carriers as needed and process life status changes.
Research, respond and resolve to benefits inquiries from managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries.
Processes and manage all leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork from the TPA in a timely manner for FMLA, Disability and ADA claims.
Responds to 401(k) inquiries from managers and employees relating to enrollments, plan changes and contribution amounts. Manages distribution requests, loan changes and payroll remittance process.
Prepare, reconcile, and compile detail for all carrier invoices. Research as needed to resolve discrepancies. May require follow up with carrier contacts and provide to Accounts Payable.
Update & maintain benefits' website and coordinate benefit communications; ensure the overall benefits annual communication plan is executed clearly and on schedule
Organize, update, and maintain the benefits shared drive
Performs quality checks of benefits-related data; escalating decisions made by insurance companies when needed, resolving disputes, and solving problems with benefits and compensation programs
Completes annual compliance requirements timely for all plans/programs including the health, insurance, retirement and other benefit related programs including maintain plan documents based on regulatory requirements (SBCs, SPDs, SARs, benefit agreements, etc.).
Act as back-up for others on the benefits team
Performs other duties as assigned.

The EverCommerce team is distributed across globally, with more than 40 office locations in the U.S. and Canada. With a widely distributed team, we are used to working remotely across different time zones. This role can be based anywhere in the United States; if you're near one of our offices and want to work in-office, we can set that up, or this role can be 100% remote. You must be eligible to work in the United States in order to qualify for this role.

In-depth knowledge of state, federal, and local laws governing leave such as ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, and FMLA to ensure compliance when the processing of health and retirement benefits
In-depth knowledge of Canadian and/or UK statutory laws and policies preferred
Education and/or experience
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field with an emphasis in business or finance, or equivalent years professional/analytical experience related to the above-described duties.
3 years of experience in benefits processes and retirement planning.
Global benefits administration experience is a plus
Experience with Workday
Proficient in Microsoft Suite, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Compensation: The target compensation for this position is $45,000 to $57,000 USD per year, depending on candidate experience and location.
