Maintenance Mechanic 2

The individual is responsible for the repairs and preventive maintenance for all facilities at the resort. The role of the engineer is to provide a safe and healthy environment for our colleagues' and our guests to enjoy.

What you will be doing:

  • Skill in the use of hand and electrical tools with familiarity of parts and materials for maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment, kitchen equipment, HVAC, plumbing, finishes, masonry, and FF&E.
  • Performs rounds on critical systems and can identify/trouble shoot system deficiencies.
  • Performs preventive maintenance on product and all major equipment.
  • Maintain, clean and organize a properly stocked storeroom by keeping an inventory of supplies, parts and equipment manuals to quickly complete repairs
  • Obtains price quotations and fills out requisitions for parts and supplies.

Your experience and skills include:

  • Must have working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing and Hot water generation systems including devices such as pressure regulators, solenoid valves, gas valves, electrical relays, etc.
  • Must have good attitude and team player.
  • Must be knowledgeable of OSHA work place safety standards such as PPE, Lock Out Tag Out, Ladder Safety, HAZCOM and similar.
  • Visual ability to read manufacturer's instructions, schematics and blueprints.
  • Must be a problem solver, well organized and self-starter.
  • Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger, collect accurate information and solve customer concerns.
