Department Overview
The Accounting Department oversees the accounting and reporting functions of the organization. The team oversees accounting functions such as ledger accounts, financial statements, and cost control systems with a focus on regulatory compliance and practices.
Position Summary
We are actively seeking a Sr. Credit Analyst professional to review creditworthiness of individuals or businesses determining their eligibility by evaluating their credit scores and financial history as well as assist with credit applications, account servicing, closing documentation, and monitoring. Moreover, this role will require to support ad-hoc projects related to the inventory accounting team and / or support daily transactional activities related to inventory items that required strong cross functional communication. The role requires a self-directed individual, who is highly organized and has an eye for detail / accuracy. The individual must have an ability to build effective relationships across the team and company and willing to grow their skill set and perform duties as assigned.
You Will:
Analyzes credit data and financial statements of individuals or businesses to identify the degree of risk involved in lending money or extending credit.
This role will help build and scale billing systems and processes and adapt them to the needs of the fast-growing organization.
Review and analyze Accounts Receivable Aging reports and cash applications on a regular basis.
Ensure all contract billings are created accurately, processed, and submitted in a timely manner.
Researching, investigating, and following up on customer account issues and customer set up.
Establish lines of credit and create approval process with Director of Revenue, Controller and CFO.
Ability to perform basic math skills, using decimals to compute ratios and percentages, including but not limited to calculations of Days Sales Outstanding (DSO)
Provide support for project management on system integrations with revenue and inventory & costing.
Support ad hoc activities related to inventory & costing involving transactional activities with attention to details and cross functional communication.
A good work attitude and team player, reliable and keen to learn and participate
Proactively assist to identify issues and propose process improvements to streamline
Help maintain policies and procedures and internal controls
You Have:
Education
Bachelor's degree in Business/Accounting (Required)
Experience
3-5 yrs. of demonstrated accounting experience in a similar role
Experience with ERP systems, NetSuite experience and grain management (iRely) system is a plus
Software/Skillset
A Positive Team Oriented Attitude is Key to Our Positive Culture
Experience working in, or closely with, an accounting and finance organization
Agri-business and commodity experience or similar preferred
Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures and familiarity with US generally accepted accounting principles
Microsoft Office and computer skills are required
Good oral and written business communication skills, and comfortable interacting with customers in a professional manner
Ability to work to meet month-end deadlines and adapt quickly to change
Must be able to troubleshoot, resolve and communicate solutions for issues
