Job Description:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • General:

    • Deal with high-volume customer interactions and be consistently outgoing, upbeat, and cheerful.
    • Build guest relations throughout every shift by talking with customers, making them feel welcome and comfortable, and inviting them back.
    • Ensure slot-playing guests are kept in play by providing friendly and helpful service at all interactions.
    • Delegate authority, and assign responsibilities and work schedules to department staff.
    • Provide hands-on leadership to Slot Technical department.
    • Maintain required documentation for all slot machine moves and repairs and maintenance.
    • Maintain purchase orders and requisitions for all slot machine parts and supplies.
    • Maintain proper logs in compliance with Florida gaming regulations and internal controls.
    • Assist with developing and managing the departmental budget, including capital expenditures.
    • Review reports and statistical data for malfunctions or other problems.
    • Develop and implement schedules for preventive maintenance and repairs.
    • Monitor staffing levels to ensure budgetary compliance.
    • Assist with interviewing, hiring, developing, and evaluating department staff.
    • Administer disciplinary action as necessary.
    • Regularly and timely reviews with Slot Tech Manager of all departmental activity and issues.
    • Maintain strict confidentiality relative to financial information, operating systems, company policies and procedures, marketing plans, and team member and guest information.
    • Have complete knowledge of all casino events and promotional activities.
    • Adhere to regulatory, departmental, and Company policies in an ethical manner and empower and require others to do the same.
    • Handle routine customer complaints and incidents, and exhibit the appropriate discretion to identify situations requiring the attention of supervisory personnel - seek to resolve all situations in a manner that maintains positive guest relationships.

    • Must be able to work a flexible schedule as required by business operations, including late nights, weekends, and holidays; shifts may change.

      • Assist in maintaining a spotless casino by disposing of any cups, glasses, bottles, or other items left on the floor by guests.
      • Perform other duties as assigned or reasonably requested by any member of management.
  • Operating Principles : Ensure at all times operating principles are being adhered to: Clean - Keep all areas clean and pristine; Safe - Follow all safety policies and procedures; Friendly - Use customer courtesy skills of Family Style Service to provide superior guest service; Fun - Be interactive with all internal and external guests while maintaining professional standards.
  • Tools and Technology : Computer station, Microsoft office software, casino tracking programs (BIS2, ABS, IVS, CMS, Micros, Datastream, Kronos, Stratton Warren, AutoCAD), hand-held radio, telephone with voice mail system, PBX system, fax, copier and other slot-related tools and supplies.
  • Licensure : Must be able to obtain and maintain a 1055 Slot/Cardroom/Pari-Mutuel Individual Combo Employee Occupational License. Must be at least 21 years of age. Three (3) years of tax returns required.
  • QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience: Two to Five years experience in electronics and maintenance of technical equipment, game machines, or slot machines preferred with a 4-year degree in related fields or equivalent work experience. Gaming industry experience is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge: Basic knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software.Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources. Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications. Knowledge of gaming laws and regulations.
  • Skills: Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions. Give full attention to what other people are saying, take time to understand the points being made, ask questions as appropriate, and not interrupt at inappropriate times. Talking to others to convey information effectively. Being aware of others' reactions and understanding why they react as they do. Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. Monitor/Assess performance of oneself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action. Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly. Actively looking for ways to help people.

  • Work Environment: A fast paced Casino environment with exposure to electricity, static charges, bright flashing lights, loud noise, smoke and varied temperatures. Use of elevator and stairs.
