JOB SUMMARY:

• Inspects, repairs, installs, modifies, and maintains commercial kitchen equipment, cleaning equipment, and power tools.
• Installs new units or replacement parts for existing units according to specifications and established safety guidelines.
• Performs necessary clerical duties with job and is able to read blueprints, technical manuals, and operating guides.
• The incumbent for this position must be familiar with a variety of the electrical field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
• May lead and direct work of others. Provide support services in other fields throughout the Facilities Department.
• Self motivated with a hands-on and flexible approach and be able to adapt to unpredictable events.
• Pro-active and reliable and will thrive through working in a busy environment and stay calm under pressure, and have attention to details.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• Requires at least 4 years of experience in the field or related area.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• General knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, Life/Safety Systems, boilers, chillers, emergency power systems, UPS systems, pumps, motors, VFD's, and Energy Management Systems.
• Working knowledge of computers
• Prefer prior Casino/Hotel experience.
• Ability to learn and comply with the laws and regulations affecting the casino industry.
• Excellent logical thinking skills and strong problem-solving ability
• Excellent customer and employee relation's skills
• Written/verbal communications skills.
• Ability to keep essential spare parts in-stock and maintain an orderly parts inventory.

WORK ENVIRONMENT :

• Diverse, fast-paced, deadline driven, multi-project coordination, prioritizing and flexing to accommodate last minute requests and changes.
• Must be able to work in areas containing dust, secondhand smoke, varying noise and temperature levels, lighting, vibration, crowds and air quality.
• Must be flexible with schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
