Dow has an exciting opportunity for an Administrative Specialist located in Midland, MI! In this role, you will provide administrative client support as a member of the Core Legal Practices team with emphasis on demonstrated competencies such as work ethic; interpersonal effectiveness, teamwork, communication, collaboration, and collegiality; initiative and judgment; interconnected thinking and action; and agility and continuous learning.

Job Description Details:

You will:


  • Learn and use checklists and work process guidelines to review and triage high volume of incoming client requests. Take initiative to ask follow-up questions when requests are ambiguous or lacking key details or documents. "Know what you don't know" and ask for help or refer requests, as necessary, and/or in keeping with work process guidelines.

  • Demonstrate strong multi-tasking, problem solving, critical thinking, time management, attention to detail, and leadership skills. Take initiative as a self-starter who can identify, prioritize, and accomplish multiple, competing tasks. Possess owner mindset and accountability for sustained learning through use of existing documentation and training materials, effective listening skills, and self-organization.

  • Adhere to established standards to drive consistency in service while identifying any areas of inefficiency, waste, or ambiguity. Make recommendations based on observations and experiences that further the customer and/or employee experience. Ensure sustainable practices by continuously monitoring and improving as applicable.

  • Understand and contribute to positive performance metrics for the team and department.

  • Work autonomously and serve as a valued team member. Successfully balance individual success with that of the larger team. Cross train to enable back up of team members and receive reciprocal back up.

Required Qualifications:


  • A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is required.

  • A minimum of 3 years in an administrative professional role, or similar.

  • Effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization, customers, and third parties.

  • Ability to work well in a dynamic, complex, client- and team-focused environment with established standards, moderate oversight, and an agile and continuous improvement mindset.

A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States.  No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.
