Hourly production job. Performs work as part of a team in an industrial garment stockroom . Responsible for the safe, expeditious, and accurate handling of merchandise & fulfilling orders.
Responsibilities/ Essential Functions
Responsibilities include general duties throughout the stockroom department as needed: merchandise receiving, order picking, garment grading, inventory stocking, merchandise sorting, emblem matching, sewing, operating heat seal machine, quality inspection and shipping. The jobs are all physical in nature and require standing and/or repeated bending, lifting, use of hands for grasping and other manipulation, pushing/pulling, twisting and stretching during the entire shift. Daily accuracy and productivity of work is necessary for inventory control and accountability. Additional responsibilities include housekeeping and adherence to health and safety standards, ability to meet attendance schedule.

Knowledge/Abilities/Skills
High School Education or GED
Observes best practices and follows dept SOP’s
Organizational skills; sort items by product type, color, size etc.
Able to learn 500+ SKU’s and vendor lot #’s. Comprehend differences and similarities between vendor items
Willingness to learn how to operate stockroom machinery. Perform daily cleaning, oiling, preventive maintenance & trouble shooting of equipment.
Ability to stand/walk for entire scheduled shift in a warehouse environment
Ability to lift 40 lbs, including lifting overhead,
Ability to understand all required training, written, and verbal instructions
Working knowledge of basic math skills using American standards in weight, measurement, volume, etc
Good verbal and/or written communication skills
Ability to differentiate colors; distinguish product mix differences such as cotton vs poly/cotton
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to meet attendance schedule.
Maintain a clean and hazard free work area,
Support an environment of continuous improvement by making suggestions and implementing where possible. 5S experience preferred
Able to understand acceptable variances within processes, Identify errors and communicate needs to leadership
Operate with integrity and sense of urgency
Perform other reasonable assigned general labor duties as described by stockroom leadership
