The Sports and Fitness programs at the Y offer a wide variety of activities that center around helping kids of all ages and abilities keep their mind and body active and grow a love for play and recreation.

The Sports Front Line Site Lead is responsible for providing leadership and influence in indoor and/or outdoor sports environments while creating a safe, friendly, and nurturing atmosphere for participants.

Responsibilities:
Function as point person for assigned program site.Handle and resolve participant concerns and inform supervisor of unusual situations or unresolved issues.Monitor and ensure safety of participants, staff, and volunteers at assigned program areas.Provide leadership through organizing, supervising, and facilitating youth in a variety of outdoor and
indoor programming, in a variety of weather conditions.Communicate sport-specific and YMCA rules and regulations to participants, parents, and volunteers.Provide program volunteers with on-going support.Ensure program facility and equipment is ready for use and deemed safe.Responsible for following established procedures to ensure positive relationships with program partners.Promote inclusiveness and community amongst participants and other staff members.Stay informed of youth program offerings and cross promote when appropriate.

Qualifications:
Must be 18 years of age.General understanding of sports structure, rules, and regulations.

Schedule:
This is a part time position with an average of 15 hours weekly. Work schedule for Volleyball league is on Thursdays with the shift of 5pm-9pm. Soccer league games are on Saturdays and the shift is 8am-4pm.

Game dates for Soccer are Aug 27, September 10, 17, 24, October 1 and 8.Game dates for volleyball are September 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 and October 6.
