This position is fully remote within the United States and will require moderate travel. BMW Shared Services, LLC provides consultative HR support to BMW Group companies in the US including BMW of North America, LLC, BMW Group Designworks, Rolls Royce Motor Cars, NA and BMW Financial Services NA, LLC.

The Sr. Benefits Analyst, Disability & Projects is responsible for administration of US Disability Plans and Leaves of Absences. The Analyst role will partner closely with Legal, Payroll, and HRBP teams as well as the external administrator.

You will serve as a subject matter expert for internal resources working with disability partners on leave services and processes to ensure the required knowledge is in place to support absence management requests, and develop process and documentation standards to minimize operational risk. The Analyst will contribute to and participate in department and organization wide projects designed to enhance the absence management service and related technology, training and processes as well as provide coaching and guidance to team members and HR teams as needed.

As the Sr. Benefits Analyst, you will represent Benefits as a subject matter expert on all leave and time off programs, including but not limited to FMLA, ADA, State Leaves, Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability, Maternity Leave, Parental Leave, PTO and Sick Time Off. You will provide end-to-end case management and consultative support to associates and managers with absence management inquiries while ensuring a strong culture of connection and empathy.

The Analyst also partners with key stakeholders (Legal, HRBP, Cigna) on sensitive and complicated LOA matters while adhering to strict privacy and confidentiality requirements. You will manage and escalate complex cases appropriately for guidance by using sound judgment, including but not limited to system processing issues, leave pay discrepancies, associate feedback and vendor escalations.

The Benefits Analyst ensures compliance with Federal and State guidelines by staying abreast of current requirements and trends and communicating and implementing changes necessary to remain compliant and is responsible for communicating approvals, denials, return to work and other important information to team members, managers and HRBPs.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and/or certifications
  • 5-7 years Human Resources experience with direct experience in Employee Benefits
  • 3-5 years Project Management experience


Preferences:

  • HR Benefits certifications (e.g. CPDM, CCM, SHRM, PHR, CEBS)
  • Experience engaging in the interactive process under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
  • 1-3 years SAP experience
