Overview of the role We are looking for a proactive and confident Communications Specialist who will oversee Euromonitor's media relations strategy in North America. Someone who can amplify our brand message with key media outlets and write compelling stories to position our organization as a thought leader in the industry. The right candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills and have extensive knowledge of the North American media landscape. This enables them to spot a story and instinctively know which journalists to call and how to pique their interest. This role will report to the Head of Communications and play a vital role in the wider communications team. The ideal candidate will be a great team player but is also able to work independently. Key responsibilities Develop and drive the media and communication strategy in North America Manage and execute day-to-day PR initiatives in the region Write press pitches and releases to ensure Euromonitor International receives regular and wide-reaching press coverage in target media, both print and online Provide counsel on media relations for our analysts and executives Monitor and regularly report results of public relations activities in North America Help to raise Euromonitor International's profile and the profiles of our industry experts Work with the Digital Marketing team to develop campaigns that support your activities Partner with Content Marketing to develop campaigns that support global and regional activities Work with the Research, Sales, Content and Creative teams to develop, coordinate and organize the recording of videos, podcasts, webinars and more Have a strong understanding of the business needs to refine media relations targets, plans and execution Contributes to the success of business objectives and marketing targets Find innovative, creative ways to gain the respect of media sources and increase the likelihood of media coverage Expand the media relations programme in North America, building relationships with top-tier and key media contacts Build relationships across the business and inform stakeholders about relevant marketing and communications activities
