Are you our next Superintendent Environmental?
The Superintendent Environmental provides leadership to assure compliance with environmental requirements and initiatives. Negotiates and integrates regulatory requirements into Operational objectives. Formulates environmental policies and procedures in alignment with Mosaic strategies. Responsible for front-line support of operations for compliance assurance at respective facilities. Leads and coaches environmental staff's behaviors, objectives, and long-term development initiatives.
What will you do?
Direct resources and participate in training for all employees' with respect to environmental topics. Audit and inspect facilities, report findings and implement corrective actions.
Manage direct reports' activities
Produce written reports and documentation as required by internal and external sources. Negotiate and manage a variety of regulatory requirements and implement corrective actions.
Provide work direction to the team as well as timely and constructive feedback to ensure employees have a clear understanding of their work, roles, business goals and performance standards. Manage performance issues when necessary. Develop and coach employees in order to retain and grow organizational talent. Support employees in their career development at Mosaic.
Advise and promote environmental standards and requirements and integrate into all aspects of Mosaic phosphate production business by teaming with operations, maintenance, engineering, HR, etc.
Obtain necessary environmental permits for operations of the facilities by teaming with the environmental permitting and compliance and operations teams. Work with departments to ensure permit conditions are being met.
What do you need for this role?
Bachelor's Degree required, major in Environmental/Environmental Health Engineering, or Environmental Science.
8 years direct experience in the following:
environmental control/management or industrial manufacturing.
Must have a thorough knowledge of environmental laws, regulations, permitting and legal process involving regulatory rulemaking
Environmental and Permitting Regulatory Matters
Prior experience leading people
Strong interpersonal skills; ability to lead through influence, and network.
Ability to create effective partnerships at all levels of the organization.
Effective presentation and facilitation skills.
Excellent business acumen and decision-making skills.
Experience with change management preferred.
Travel required to Florida facilities
