What you will do:
As a member of Accredo's Reimbursement team, you will edit, bill, and collect payment on outstanding claims with a goal of positively impacting the company's revenue and accounts receivable balance. Enabled by a robust training curriculum, clear policies, and team support, you will contribute toward the important functions of billing and collections and contributing toward Cigna's growth strategy. To achieve our collective success, a working knowledge of the billing and collection processes and accountability for quantity and quality metrics are key expectations of the role. Beyond your core responsibilities, you are expected to embrace a high performance culture through teamwork, personal development, accountability, and involvement in special committees/projects.
Billing - Review invoices against payer contracts and bill rules and correct discrepancies timely and accurately. Submit invoices according to payer's required method of billing i.e. Website, payer portal, software, paper etc. while following company and payer requirements. Collaborate effectively with internal business partners as well as external payers to drive timely and accurate billings.
Delivers straightforward administrative and/or other basic business services in Enrollment/Billing. Provides financial related support for banking and/or billing related functions to new and/or existing accounts. Sets up, manages, reconciles, processes, and/or balances bank and/or customer accounts. Works with internal/external customers, banks, vendors, and/or partners to resolve issues. May create, analyze and respond to standard and/or non-standard reports. Bills and/or collects outstanding/delinquent payments or issues payments. Audits accounts for compliance. Supports mid to large markets. Issues tend to be routine in nature. Good knowledge and understanding of Enrollment/Billing and business/operating processes and procedures. Works to clearly defined procedures under close supervision.
For this position, we anticipate offering an hourly rate of $16 - $22, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
