This role is for an Agile Solution Manager (blended Business and technology skillset) within the Clinical Technology team. This position will specifically be filling a Solution Manager role within the enterprise Agile delivery process for the Digital Care Management / End to End MSK Large Solution that is supported by Clinical Technology. The Solution Manager will be tasked with working with our business stakeholders and technology partners to represent the end user needs for the Solution Train via their management of the Solution Vision, Solution Roadmap, and Solution Backlog. This will require heavy interaction and partnership with Business Stakeholders, Epic Owners, Product Managers, Architects, solution partners, and a variety of stakeholders.

This unique role provides the Solution Manager with the opportunity to work very closely with business stakeholders, technology partners, and architecture team members. This role will provide opportunities to both:


  • Guide key elements of the Care Solutions business unit with a focus on the coaching, case management, and behavioral products/programs


  • Participate and shape strategic business and technology solutions within the Clinical Technology and Care+ space


Key Responsibilities (in partnership with other Solution Managers):


  • Uses input from stakeholders and partners to create and manage the Solution Vision, Solution Roadmap, and guides work through the Solution Kanban onto the Solution Backlog


  • Creates and communicates the Solution Vision and Roadmap with partnership and input from key stakeholders and partners


  • Manage overall content for the Solution train by owning, defining, and prioritizing the Solution backlog with input from Business Stakeholders, Epic Owners, Product Managers, Architects, and other solution partners
    • More specifically: Prioritizes and manages the flow of work through the Solution Kanban into Solution Backlog



  • Understands and supports portfolio work by collaborating with Stakeholder Owners to develop the business case for the Program Epics that affect the Solution Train ARTs


  • Partners with Business Owners/Stakeholders, Epic Owners, and Product Managers involved with the Solution to ensure Epic context, prioritization alignment and proper decomposition into the program backlog


  • Partners heavily with the Solution architect on all Solution backlog scope, especially enabler scope


  • With partners decomposes Portfolio Epics into Program Epics and works to schedule Program Epics for release



  • Ensures Program Epics are written according to Cigna standards, are ready to implement and are pulled into the Solution Backlog


  • Participates in Pre- and Post-Program Increment (PI) Planning, Solution Demos, and Inspects and Adapts (I&As)


  • Partners with others to define to the end state architecture for the solution with respect to the enterprise


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline with an advanced degree preferred or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.


  • Experience and/or background in filling a Product or Solution Manager role in either Scrum or Scaled Agile Framework methodologies preferred (Scrum and/or SAFe certifications are a huge plus)


  • Strong problem-solving, influencing and critical-thinking skills with the ability to execute with limited information and ambiguity.



  • Ability to manage customer requirements and scope discussions; as well as ability to facilitate large groups (in person or over the phone)


  • Technical acumen with the ability to translate business needs into technical language and vice versa.


  • Strong communicator (ability to communicate at all levels), skilled at stakeholder management (setting and managing expectations) and ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.



  • Adept at negotiating; able to resolve conflict and adapt to different approaches using a variety of tactics


  • Jira agile management application experience


  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills including the ability to work with both internal and external customers and all levels of the organization.


  • Excellent problem solving and conflict management skills including the ability to manage conflict and find mutually acceptable resolutions.


This role is WAH/Flex which allows most work to be performed at home. Employees must be fully vaccinated if they choose to come onsite.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of $100,600 - $167,600, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
