Tasks and Qualifications:

The role involves learning and developing standard controls software for mobile robotics applications, Autonomous Guided Vehicles, and other real-time/embedded controller platforms. As part of an international and multicultural team within the software development organization, you will be responsible for delivering this software for our global customers, in partnership with our product management, application engineering and customer service groups.

Core Responsibilities:

As a Software Developer you are responsible for the design and implementation of the onboard software, which manages the complete behavior of the truck including navigation, driving and lift movements. Additional responsibilities include:


  • You are involved from start to finish of the process - from the refinement of requirements through design & implementation of the solution to testing, validation, and documentation


  • Collaborate with mechatronics, safety, production, testing and customer service colleagues internationally


  • Support the product validation team which is responsible for testing the functionalities of the application you developed and the application engineers who commission your application at our customers facilities


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.


  • 2+ years of years of relevant experience in C/C++ programming experience


  • Basic knowledge of embedded software and real time operating systems


  • Basic knowledge and interest in controls & hydraulics is necessary


  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail


  • Exceptional ability to work both autonomously and with cross-functional teams to build partnerships and get things done


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the logistics industry, warehouse automation or material handling


  • Experience with Git and Linux


  • Strong interest in motion control, automation or robotics


  • Dutch


Travel:
  • Occasional travel may be required - up to 20% (including international)
