Position Overview:
The primary role of the SALT Director is to carry out the accounting production plan as laid out and set forth by the Solution Leader. The Director is expected to bring forward thinking strategy of how to manage SALT staff in the proper manner to get all work accomplished within the parameters of the Solution budget. Hitting production goals and managing COGS are two essential functions as well as predicting staffing needs based on projected sales. The SALT Director is the key advisor to the Solution Leader keeping all aspects of current Solution needs visible.

Responsibilities:
Provides client consulting and strategizing, while developing an industry-specific expertise.Applies expertise in payroll and sales and use tax in a technical and supportive manner.Builds authentic relationships with clients through all interactions. Work to identify areas where BerganKDV can further their business and goals.Actively seeks opportunities to join business development meetings with the goal to build strong relationships and drive new client projects and revenue.Explore industry specialization and industry focused service. This may include attending peer group meetings or industry organization involvement.Be a resource for other members of the SALT team. This may entail technical training and providing feedback on client engagements.Support personal and team professional development by participating in company sponsored trainings, CPE courses, internal committees, and mentorship opportunities.Transparent and organized communication with team membersActively participates in firmwide SALT L10 and related committees and teams.Able to effectively manage tight deadlines

Qualifications:
8+ years of Tax experienceBachelors in accounting or related degreeExperience with QuickBooks Online, Sage Intacct, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics FP, Microsoft Office
