As the Food Service Warehouse Manager, you provide management and oversight of up to fifteen (15) OCNs (Other Country Nationals) accomplishing food warehouse and storeroom functions at the Al Udeid Air Base. Responsibilities will include receiving, offloading, loading, stocking, and inventory of the DFAC rations. This position also provides oversight and management of the consumables inventory and ordering process for ensuring all 5 DFACs receive the required consumables. Always ensures that there will always be a 30-day supply of consumables on hand to cover emergency situations.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Perform a variety of warehousing duties which require an understanding of the establishment's storage plan.
Duties include the safe operation and ability to become certified on 10K and below forklifts.
Reviews bills of lading for incoming merchandise.
Verifies materials and merchandise against receiving documents, notes, and reports discrepancies and obvious damages.
Assigns warehouse employees to specific duties.
Responsible for quantity, condition and storage location of incoming merchandise and disbursement of parts, supplies, materials, and equipment to end-users.
Ensure that materials are procured, received, stored, inventoried, and deployed to satisfy project schedules.
Handle inventory control requirements to include periodic physical inventory verifications and data entry/updates in various databases and spreadsheets
Adhere and enforce the project and company safety policy and procedures
Ensures data is input timely and accurately into databases and/or spreadsheets
Performing duties cost effectively to ensure project materials are ordered timely
Having a total and complete understanding of the establishment's storage plan.
Routing materials to prescribed storage locations.
Storing, stacking, palletizing, banding, strapping, labeling, and wrapping materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods.
Reporting deterioration and damaged materials.
Preparing materials for shipment.
Cleaning work areas and Warehouse grounds.
Completes forklift and ladder inspections.
Load and unload trucks, Stage materials, Load, Offload, and assist with convoy materials.
Additional duties as assigned by Site Management
Ensures all food items, frozen, chill, and dry will be stored and manage.
Assist with other facilities or departments as needed to ensure mission success
Meet and Escort OCN's from Front Gate to work assignment area at the beginning of shift
Escort OCN's from work assignment area to Front Gate at the end of shift
Assist with other Escort duties as needed
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or equivalent and at least 5 years' experience working in a logistics / warehouse operation, preferably related to warehouse operations in a deployment setting with an advanced certification in assigned area required. (Food, frozen, chill, and dry)
Experience in managing Other Country Nationals is a plus
LICENSE & CERTIFICATIONS:
US Driver's License
Must possess applicable forklift operator and license for-a variety of Fork trucks up to 10ton machines.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Knowledge of using strict FIFO polices, guidelines and procedures.
Must be able to use the tools for strapping and banding, moving, and transporting pallets, physically operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and lift stations.
The ability to lift up to 65-pound materials.
TRAVEL: 100% in a deployed location
