As the Utilities AMP Manager, you will plan and develop projects for medium and low voltage distribution, airfield lighting, fire alarms and interior and exterior low voltage applications. You will also be responsible for conducting root cause analysis of failing systems to determine project scope. Working closely with a diverse team of engineers, you will perform a wide range of engineering tasks to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirements.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Responsible for planning and developing projects for medium and low voltage distribution, airfield lighting, fire alarms and interior and exterior low voltage applications.


• Conduct root cause analysis of failing systems, to accurately determine the scope of the projects.


• Coordinate and host a quarterly Sub-AMP Working Group, according to The Activity Management Process Operating Instruction.


• Act as Data Manager for the Air Force SMS, which is currently BUILDER.


• Perform Quality Assurance on all data entries performed by 379 ECES personnel, to ensure the accuracy of the entries.


• Complete design reviews for electrical projects, from the Operations Flight perspective to ensure that the Operations Flight is able to maintain and repair the completed project.


• Identify potential operation problems and risks and recommend corrective measures and coordinate tasking and repairs with the central planning division


• Responsible for proper utilization and safeguarding of all government and contractor provided property (e.g., to include government facilities, equipment, and tools).


• Responsible for precise execution of company time reporting procedures and accurate completion of timesheet.


• Must be able to interpret and adapt traditional methods and approaches in developing design calculations, layouts, drawings, and specifications that support project objectives and standards.

• Support the projects by providing an environment for the development and professional advancement of project personnel, including providing on-the-job and formal training and development opportunities

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of five (5) years' work-related experience of design

LICENSE & CERTIFICATIONS:

• Professional Engineer (PE), preferred

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

• Capable of investigative services including electrical power distribution networks, power load determination, exterior electric, interior electric, fire alarm systems and site lighting.


• Familiarity with US and Qatari codes and standards


• Familiarity with BUILDER and ability to act as Data Manager

TRAVEL: 100% OCONUS

SECURITY CLEARANCE: Secret

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to pass the current CENTCOM AOR Individual Protection and Individual-Unit Deployment Policy


• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Qatar Residency Visa
