Mosaic is
looking for
Locomotive Repair Technicians to join us at our Four Corners facility located in sunny Florida. The Four Corners Mine represents 71,000+ acres of land rich in Phosphate Rock which is the primary material used in phosphate fertilizer production. Mosaic uses different modes of transportation to ship raw materials/finished goods and rail cars play an important role in the overall health of our supply chain. Additionally, Florida offers its residents no state income tax.






  • Locomotive Electrician Mechanic - The Electro-Mechanic will be responsible for making electrical repairs to all Mosaic locomotives. Must be able to perform preventative maintenance on Electro-Motive Diesel (EMD) style locomotives with other peripheral equipment. Must be able to remove, disassemble, repair and reassemble and replace whole or partial electrical components including wheel and traction motor change outs Channel wiring E/M. Will be responsible for performing wiring/electrical repair to Locomotive Remote Controls (training can be provided in this area).







  • Locomotive Mechanic - The Locomotive Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing and making mechanical and pneumatic repairs to the Locomotive Engines within Mosaic. Must be able to perform preventative maintenance on Electro-Motive Diesel (EMD) style locomotives including 645E engines, 26-L air brake systems and truck assemblies with other peripheral equipment. Must be able to remove, disassemble, repair and reassemble and replace whole or partial components. Must be able to weld and use a torch as needed.

Will Have the Following:




  • A High School Diploma or GED is required.


  • Some Locomotive Experience is required. Mosaic prefers two (2) years of experience but will consider less for the right candidate.


  • Knowledge of repairing remote controls is an asset (training will be offered).


  • Ability to read and follow Schematics and Maintenance Instructions (MI's).


  • Ability to research part numbers in a catalog.


  • Ability to obtain a local Class E Driver's License.


  • Willingness to drive a company vehicle within a four County/Regional radius to perform Job Duties.


  • Good motivational, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills to work alone and with others




Physical work environment is frequently outdoors and exposed to varying temperatures from below 32 degrees to above 85 degrees Fahrenheit
