The purpose of this position is to hire, lead, develop, train and mentor Industrial Operations Information Technology (IT) Systems Support associates. To plan, coordinate, and lead a technical team through the delivery and support of all IT solutions for assigned Industrial Operations business areas. To identify and drive improvements to optimize Industrial Operations business processes through the appropriate use of information technology. To ensure compliance of all Industrial Operations solutions with department, Publix Information Systems (I/S), and industry standards.
Additional responsibilities include:
management of an Industrial Operations IT Systems Support team
creating and managing an Industrial Operations IT Systems Support project portfolio for the assigned business areas
overseeing and, as needed, performing the analysis of production processes and the design of new and improved system solutions to facilitate and support these production processes
Bachelor's degree in computer science or in an analytical discipline or its equivalent
basic mechanical and electrical aptitude
Four (4) years of industrial systems support experience or four (4) years of experience working closely with Publix Industrial Operations IT
knowledge of Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), SQL Server, Open Database Connectivity (ODBC)
strong knowledge of personal computer, printer, network configuration (Local Area Network and Wi-Fi), terminology, and architecture
strong knowledge of Systems Development Life Cycle and Project Management processes
strong knowledge of Publix Information Technology policies and processes such as software licensing policies, information protection policy, hardware and software (HW/SW) assessment, access, and HW/SW request process

Information Technology related Bachelor’s degree
minimum of three (3) years of IT business experience
minimum of (3) years of management experience
minimum of (4) years of Publix Industrial Operations business experience
knowledge of Industrial Operations and assigned system standards and policies that must be upheld
