Description POSITION SUMMARY

The Business Development Analyst will be responsible for providing support to the BD team in the capture of new business campaign and proposal activities. This position leverages company resources to support customer commitments, gain a competitive advantage, and foster business growth through the collection, assessment, and reporting of market insights and competitive intelligence.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Assist with the design, development, production, and on-time delivery of compliant and competitive proposals, whitepapers and responses to RFIs/SSNs, etc.
  • Lead collaboration with SMEs, teammates, and other contributors to research, write, and edit proposal content (technical, management, past performance, resumes) and ensure proposal compliance
  • Assist in development and maintenance of methodologies, procedures, tools, and templates to support proposal/capture efforts
  • Maintain repository of proposal content (archived proposals, model content, past performance, etc.) in SharePoint
  • Support capture activities such as win strategy; CONOPs, technical/management/staffing solutions; and win theme/features and benefits development, collaborating with the BD, operations personnel, and stakeholders
  • Assist with customer and competitive research/analysis.
  • Assist BD with identifying, assessing, and qualifying business opportunities to support bid/no-bid decisions
  • Provide graphic design support
  • Develop, revise and maintain various types of business documents, briefs, work instructions, diagrams, plans, guides and reports
  • Conducts and maintains competitor intelligence research reports and researches and monitors trends in aviation and DoD industries
  • Tracks the Business Development metrics to monitor trends
  • Support and assist in pipeline management and analysis
  • Lead sweeps/opportunity identification and ability to determine relevancy of opportunities to market
  • Serve as primary liaison to syndicated research tools (Govwin, Bloomberg, etc.) Optimizes existing tools and helps identify and recommend additional research tools for investment
  • Generate and maintains tracking and reporting on business opportunities using Salesforce


SUPERVISORY RESONSIBILITY

This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates in a professional office environment or a remote home office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. High frequency of computer keyboarding and viewing a computer monitor.

WORK SCHEDULE

This position is a salaried position. The typical work schedule is a standard 40-hour work week.

TRAVEL

Travel required for this position is very minimal and primarily entails attending out-of-town seminars or conferences.
Position Requirements REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPEREIENCE
  • Bachelor's Degree, or 3 to 5 years of equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including PowerPoint,
  • Familiarity with Adobe, SharePoint, Power BI, Salesforce and GovWin
  • Proven track record of working in a fast-paced, complex, and deadline-oriented


PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Experience working in the aerospace/aviation industry
  • Established contact network within the airborne-ISR and Intelligence Communities
  • Experience with LinkedIn social media
