Our client is currently seeking a Pharmacist in Rainbow City, AL!
Full time: 35-40 hours per week!
Overview: The pharmacist will accurately fill prescriptions for our customers. This position will consult and advise the customers on their medications, both prescription and non-prescription. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with all federal and state pharmacy laws and regulations.
Responsibilities:
Prepare prescriptions which include entering patient information
Ensure compliance with all government programs and laws related to pharmacy which includes, but is not limited to, Medicaid, Medicare Part D, DMEPOS and HIPPA.
Fill prescriptions for customers and perform medication therapy management.
Maintain records of controlled substances; Consult with customers about prescription and over-the-counter medications.
Communicate with health care professionals and patients to address customer needs.
Order, receive, stock and rotate drugs and authorized pharmacy related items.
Qualifications:
Pharmacist degree; Pharmacist license in AL
Medication therapy management certified
At least one year of retail pharmacy exp
Authorization to work in the US
