Major 400+ bed health system for the Delaware market is seeking a Hospital Finance Director.  The annual patient revenue for this health system is approximately 1.8 billion.  The Hospital Finance Director reports to the Vice President of Finance.  The Hospital Finance Director will be responsible for developing and maintaining accounting policies and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements and prepares financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting practices for the hospital and other entities.

The Hospital Finance Director will lead and manage the work of the accounting team and address general ledger maintenance, financial reporting, year-end audit preparation, single audit preparation and tax preparation.  The Hospital Finance Director will also be responsible for review of the month end statements for the hospital, foundation and development corporations and the accompanying narratives.  The Hospital Finance Director will also complete annual evaluations for staff, including assisting with cross-training staff and assisting staff with identifying 90 day goals for process improvement.

The Hospital Finance Director will hold a Bachelors’ degree in accounting, Master’s degree in accounting or related field.  Ideally will also have 10 years of financial experience including general ledger and GAAP financial reporting with financial supervisory experience. Healthcare audit or non-profit experience is preferred, as well.  Certification/Registration Certified Public or Management Accountant (CPA or CMA).
