Job Description:

Join our team as a Financial Analyst. The Financial Analyst is a valued business partner contributing meaningful information to SBU leadership for decision making purposes. This position is responsible for regular and comprehensive analysis of financial reports

forecasts

budgets as well as providing insight into historical and current results while identifying opportunities for improvement. Serves as a key financial consultative resource for the management team to maximize profitability and drive business performance.

there will be occasional on-site meetings.



Responsibilities:


  • Works closely with the accounting department to provide timely analysis of financial data and metrics used in business decisions.
  • Consolidates SBU financials and prepares consolidated reporting on a monthly basis.
  • Creates executive level reporting packages to support senior leadership team meetings and quarterly business reviews.
  • Clearly communicates results to SBU leadership and others across the organization.
  • Supports the forecast and variance analysis process.
  • Drives cost analysis and supports manufacturing cost optimization initiatives.
  • Provides regular financial consultation to business leaders and management.
  • Partners with SBU leadership team to maximize profitability and business performance.
  • Establishes metrics and control procedures that allow effective measurement of business performance.
  • Assesses risks and opportunities in the business and works with the management team to address and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Identifies trends based on assessment and makes recommendations from the results.
  • Provides analytical support of acquisition/divesture activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Desired Experience:

  • Intermediate understanding of General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Basic understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance Standards (SOX)
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite programs
  • Prior experience with Oracle Financial

    Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC)


    and Tagetik preferred but not required


  • Effective writing and speaking skills for the preparation of proposals

  • Proven ability to work independently
  • Excellent listening and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to interact with all levels of the organization
  • 2 plus years of accounting/finance work experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance related area
