About our Team



Our Research Solutions Sales teams focuses on accelerating revenue while providing detailed insights for new and existing customers. Our customers are researchers and healthcare professionals, working to advance science and improve healthcare outcomes.



About the Role



The Account Manager plans and manages the overall corporate account base that's engaging in scientific research. They work with multiple stakeholders within the corporate research community and research libraries. Primary strategic account owner, as well, driving the overall Elsevier business (all research products) at the account in the territory.



Responsibilities



• Responsible for customer loyalty and customer satisfaction within Pharma Biotech Industry


• Responsible for Prospecting and Acquiring New Accounts and strategically growing and sustaining existing ones


• Responsible for strategic account planning for designated territory in order to meet or exceed the annual revenue target


• Responsible for understanding customer needs and delivering the value story to the key stakeholder's customer


• Responsible for leading and driving high value & complex negotiations



Requirements



• Have experience calling on corporate institutions selling complex products at C- level is desired.


• Possess college education from a 4-year institution


• Have a background in managing large complex customers driving customer engagement and growing sales within biotech/pharmaceutical/medical device/CRO accounts


• Be a self-motivator with great business acumen and interpersonal skills


• Have excellent all-round communication skills, verbal and written


• Have a strategic, consultative selling approach


• Have experience in working in a global matrix organization
