The Director of Consumer Analytics oversees development and implementation of analytics best practice including Business & Category Performance utilizing POS and Consumer Panel data, Marketing Measurement & Effectiveness, and Behavior-based confections demand landscape. Assess market landscape, category performance, media performance, consumer landscape and trends, areas of non-consumption and white space for all relevant Ferrara current and prospective categories. Owns analytic learning agenda for direct reports.

  • Leads a team of Analytics professionals overseeing development and evolution of Analytics best practice
  • Establishes himself/herself as a strategic business partner with Chief Marketing Officer, Chief Growth Officer, and Integrated Marketing, Innovation, and Strategy teams
  • Provides Consumer Analytics thought leadership and collaborates on best practice approaches with cross-functional teams
  • Leads company-wide reporting of business performance of POS and Consumer Panel data, highlighting key action areas and providing strategic insights to Senior Leadership
  • Identifies and sizes market opportunities, business performance, consumer trends, areas of non-consumption, and white space
  • Owns analytics learning agenda for team of direct reports
  • Develops and drives utilization of a behavior-based confections demand landscape
  • Uncovers strategic insights utilizing consumer data and business performance to drive critical actions, helping drive strategy to grow market share
  • Leads Marketing and Media measurement & effectiveness including leveraging real time data for improved decision making and ROI
  • Develops foresight into confections trends enabling greater external focus
  • Proven track record of delivering actionable business recommendations, influencing decisions, and impacting results
  • Translates data and analytic outcomes into actionable insights; especially the ability to explain difficult analytic concepts and market opportunities in simple, applicable business terms
  • Drives introduction and adoption of a comprehensive range of consumer data and analytic methodologies, continuous improvement in techniques and cost, and identifies new tools and technology to increase effectiveness
  • Strong knowledge of multiple consumer data, advanced analytic methods and modeling techniques, intelligence and visualization tools
  • Agility with undefined objectives and responsibilities, ability to devise an effective solution in unstructured situations
  • Supervisory experience with demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and develop a team

Experiences that will support your success





  • Bachelor's degree
  • 7+ years of CPG relevant experience/area of consumer analytics
  • 5+ years of team management experience with proven track record of developing, coaching, and mentoring diverse market research teams
  • Extensive experience with qualitative/quantitative methodologies and techniques, marketing mix modeling/predictive analytics, conjoint, MaxDiff, TURF, Habits and Practices, segmentation, claims testing, packaging testing, brand and communications testing, product testing, brand health and equity tracking, concept testing
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Proficiency with IRI or Nielsen a plus
