The role requires the collaboration with the business representatives to collect requirements, negotiate best in class solutions, develop in modular design environment, organize workshops, test and iterate and to deliver to the end users providing training material and support as required. This role reports to the Parts Standardization team and as required, works closely with the platforms, product engineering, and engineering services operational leaders to identify business needs and requirements.

The ideal candidate for this role will be fully experienced and competent with various Systems and Subsystems and have a proven track record in the product development. In addition to that he/she should have a sound knowledge of Engineering and/or Modular design processes and tools with sufficient support experience plus a proven track record and demonstrated passion for developing and leading the deployment of new tools and processes into the business environment.



  • Begin the process of design conceptualization and identify the need to conduct Pilots with various global design teams.

  • In conjunction with various global design teams, control the modular design implementation.

  • Develop new innovative process technologies to solve complex design challenges that have direct impact to future product, quality and delivery of various new machines that meets the process requirements and project specifications.

  • Control and maintain the modular product architecture for those Systems or Subsystems chosen for modular design.

  • Design and Maintain the modular design database, including the connection to various machines. Maintain the modular design hierarchy within engineering Bill of Material (eBoM) for easy retrieval.

  • Supervise the Statement of Work outsourced activities for maintaining the Modular Design.

  • Position ranges from $110,000-$145,000



  • Bachelors degree in engineering (Mechanical, Automotive, Agricultural, Electrical)

  • 5-8 years' experience in product development with an extensive knowledge and experience in various systems and subsystems.

  • 3-5 years of Project Management and analytical skills

  • 2-5 years of Experience with Modular Design Processes

  • Experience in PLM, PDM, BoM, Configuration & CAD tools and processes.

  • Broad engineering background in a variety of disciplines (Electrical, Hydraulics, Engines, Mechanical, Cabs, HVAC etc.)

  • Experience in product development arena and product lifecycle management including experience in various engineering disciplines

Prefrence:


  • Masters degree in engineering (Mechanical, Automotive, Agricultural, Electrical)

  • Ability to influence others, regardless of positional power or organizational boundaries

  • Leadership & team working ability, excellent relationship skills, ability to work well under pressure

  • Excellent command of English language and vocabulary.

  • Excellent verbal communication and teaching skills.

  • Ability to set clear objectives and deliverables

  • Global Product Development processes is desirable but not essential.
