Collaborate with leadership, customers, partners and stakeholders to move initiativesforward, balancing competing needs and distilling a coherent strategy
Lead high velocity Agile practices focused on results and engineering excellence
Drive initiatives to implement SRE measurement best practices like SLOs and error budgetsand evangelize those by partnering across PayPal business units
Translate customer and stakeholder current and future needs into self-service products
Lead with empathy and trust
Coach and support engineers on the team, with a strong focus on feedback and growth
Emphasize engineering best practices, iterative progress, delivering value, and data driven decision making
What We're Looking For
2+ years of experience in engineering management
7+ years of experience in software engineering or data engineering
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience mentoring and developing engineers in their career journey
Knowledge in DevOps and SRE practices and tools
Experience building solutions in the Cloud
Experience with large-scale distributed systems
Experience with Splunk/SignalFX and data warehousing solutions is a nice to have
