Job Purpose:


This is a unique opportunity for a creative and knowledgeable leader seeking a transformative role in a fast-growing company and exciting market. The Product Owner will work within the product team and across the organization to help guide the evolution of established key products and lead the ongoing development, management and marketing frameworks and processes across all MHA companies. Taking a market driven approach and working within teams and alongside business leaders, the Product Owner will lead the ongoing road map planning, drive initiatives, and prioritize development of key products for internal and external optimization to meet or exceed financial and performance targets.


 


Alongside key stakeholders, the Product Owner will help build business cases that convey product vision and assess opportunities that support long- and short-term business goals. They will single handily the cross functional team to include but not limited to:  the product development, marketing, sales, trade, finance, and legal teams to create the ongoing road map that will deliver and sustain the end-to-end customer experience while simultaneously meeting Business Unit and MHA corporate goals. Additionally, this person will regularly communicate progress back to MHA Leadership in an effective and efficient manner.


 


The Product Owner will require a unique mix of skills including extensive industry knowledge, strong time management and prioritization, excellent communication both verbal and written, and the ability to lead through collaboration with effective stakeholder management. They must also be able to work effectively with a wide range of teams — from business leaders to delivery teams — driving product success without breaking the self-organizing culture that makes lean and agile delivery organizations successful.


 


 


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:



  • Establish oneself as the lead for key designated products by creating cross functional teams of key stakeholders

  • Serve as subject matter expert for the industry, product, competition, target market, consumer, and business use up and down the organization

  • Understand product fit for each as it pertains to the financial and non-financial Strategic Initiatives that product supports.

  • Plan, initiate, and prioritize development requirements to manage products related to MHA suite of solutions. Serve as liaison between business and technical aspects of projects.

  • Perform (internal or external) customer research by means of including surveys, product analytics, market research, interviews, hackathons, online forums, or other cost-effective means of gaining insight into the "voice of the customer."

  • Establish and lead relationships with aligned business units’ leadership and (as needed) external stakeholders or vendors and partner/ecosystems.

  • Define, track, and communicate key product performance indicators as required to inform this process and track business results.

  • Create and oversee the ongoing roadmap to define continuous release strategies for subsequent updates and releases

  • Continually monitor and refine the product while in market. This involves using and synthesizing product analytics and customer usage statistics to make informed decisions about the success of product features and functionality

  • Collaborate and coordinate with and across other product and programme managers to coordinate and manage dependencies.

  • Ensure design and output are consistent with business goals and in alignment with company strategy as well as scalable for future growth.

Minimum Qualifications & Competencies:



  • BA / BS, 5-8 years’ work experience in similar position, or a combination of these preferred.



  • Expert knowledge in post-acute care – pharmacy and senior living

  • Proven experience in overseeing the direction, development, and implementation of project/products

  • Strong business analysis acumen

  • Demonstrated intermediate to advanced level proficiency in MS-Office, including (but not limited to) Excel and Power Point.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills, presentation and interpersonal skills.

  • Proven experience of analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Strong organizational and management skills, including ability to manage and prioritize multiple competing initiatives.

  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Able to contribute to strategic and tactical plans.
