Velex SI, Inc. is hiring a Electrical Project Manager in the following area(s): Frisco, TX.

Who We're Looking For:

Velex SI is currently looking for an Electrical Project Manager to join our growing team. The Electrical Project Manager will plan, organize, and direct the activities of their projects.

What You’ll Do:


  • Ensure team has the instruction, material, and support that they need to succeed

  • Negotiate & resolve issues in a timely manner

  • Manage, submittals, budgets, schedules and all other aspects necessary for a

  • successful project

  • Serve as an interface between the Electrical Engineering team and internal clients, including Construction, Operations, and Safety, to facilitate interdepartmental relations

  • Assist with the development of new electrical engineering standards and maintain and improve existing standards and guidelines, implementing industry and company best practices

  • Participate in engineering, design, and construction review processes

  • Lead and conduct value-engineering studies of alternative design approaches

  • Coordinate project construction with other trades to resolve critical and time-sensitive issues

  • Lead or assist with investigations, including root cause analysis as needed

  • Prepare look-ahead documents and weekly/monthly progress reports

  • Review and monitor job costs versus budgets

  • Grow Electrical team

The Skills and Abilities You'll Bring:


  • The ideal candidate will have 7 or more years of progressively responsible experience in the electrical construction industry, with a concentration in commercial construction projects

  • Ability to prepare construction schedules

  • Prior knowledge and/or ability to learn and understand the estimating process

  • Proficiency in MS Excel and Word is required

  • Strong verbal, written, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills

  • Strong customer service skills required

  • Ability to be mobile to various locations and available to travel to project areas as project needs are required
