We are seeking a full-time Consultant to join our Systems Integration team. The Consultant will provide delivery of high-quality advisory services to a broad portfolio of clients within the energy and utility industry and may be required to travel up to 75%, depending on client and project requirements. The selected candidate will report to the Project Manager.

What you will do
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Provide overall operational and technical leadership for various electric and gas consulting programsRepresent UDC to prospects and existing customers and work with utility personnel at all levels of the organizationProvide presentations and conduct workshops to identify, define, and capture business and technical requirements and best practicesManage deliverables for the consulting projects, including use-case development, requirements gathering, and large-scale implementation strategy and road maps and reportsCoordinate and monitor consulting projects from initiation through delivery and serve as liaison between UDC and the client to ensure all targets and requirements are metDecompose high-level business requirements and user requirements into functional requirements, specified in an appropriate level of detail suitable for use by those who base their work on the requirementsIdentify operational system interfaces, constraints, and other non-functional requirementsWork individually or within a team on technology consulting projects to meet specific customer requirementsCoach and manage consultant-level resources and actively participate in the performance review processProvide business development support to the sales team and account managers, including preparation and estimation of proposals for consulting and implementation projectsCreate business relationships and support sales generation with high-level contacts often through face-to-face and client site visits. Maintaining an ongoing business relationship with current clients to facilitate future salesActively participate in thought leadership activities such as blogs, conferences, and public speaking opportunities

What we look for from you
Bachelors degree in a related discipline (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science) or equivalent utility and consulting work experienceMinimum 3 years of experience in support of related utility consulting or large-scale system implementation/technology projectsKnowledge of electric, gas, and/or water utilities. Gas distribution is a plus.Excellent customer relations, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skillsAbility to work independently and be self-motivatedAbility to work effectively in a team environmentFamiliarity with regulatory compliance for utilitiesGood understanding of utility business processesBackground in project management methodology, including schedule, scope, issue, risk management experience, and project budget trackingFamiliarity with utility operational technologies including Asset and Work Management Systems/Outage Management Systems/Advanced Distribution Management Systems/Advanced Metering Infrastructure/Mobile products

Location
Our primary offices are located in Denver, CO, Milwaukee, WI, and Tampa, FL. We prefer that the candidate be located near one of our offices, however we are open to candidates located near major airports throughout the U.S.

Compensation range
$65,000-$120,000, depending on experience and location
