Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY

Process Engineers Interns will document understand and processes assigned (according to QMS standard format) analyzing all of the Value stream from the input, process , output , eliminate waste , document best practice all into a formalized procedure and work instruction , train and align all positions within the process to understand and follow established procedures and work instructions as well as all documents and forms involved within the process , so they may be replicated and ensure that all processes comply with industry, quality and safety standards and regulations.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS


  • Ensure that all work activities are performed in accordance with established safety and environmental standards.

  • Maintain full compliance with Company policies and procedures and conduct all activities in accordance with the Sierra Aluminum principals.

  • Analyze workflows within and across all departments to determine how the entire company can work better together

  • Meeting with production managers and supervisors to assess existing processes.

  • Drafting process ideas to reduce costs and improve production rates.

  • Designing and testing process upgrades and new process systems.

  • Ensuring processes comply with safety and quality standards.

  • Performing process simulations and troubleshooting issues.

  • Performing optimization tests.

  • Developing routines and best practices to ensure product quality.

  • Developing standardized operating instructions for the upgrades process.

  • Providing the Product Manager with process documents and standard operating procedures.

  • Monitoring upgrades systems.

  • Other duties as assigned

  • Monitoring / Documentation— Monitoring/Assessing current production procedures and standards to identify inefficiencies. Maintaining all production documentation, including owner manuals and relevant documentation for machinery. This responsibility includes updating all documentation when processes change

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS


  • In process bachelor’s degree in Engineering.

  • 0+ years in quality or business process engineering

  • Preferred experience with process simulations and/or standard operating procedures.

  • High-level knowledge of Process Engineering software systems.

  • Some experience working with CAD and AutoCAD.

  • Advanced technical skills.

  • Analytical thinker.


 

WORKING CONDITIONS


  • This position works in a manufacturing environment. 

  • This position operates in shop floor and office environment

  • Involves: long periods of shop floor activities, frequent stooping, and bending
