Position Overview

CRH Americas, Inc. is seeking a corporate paralegal to join its collaborative legal department. In this hands-on role, you will report to an Associate General Counsel of CRH Americas, Inc. and work closely with the operating companies to address a wide variety of corporate matters. This position will work closely with internal and external attorneys on a variety of legal matters affecting the Company, including acquisitions and divestitures.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.


  • Manage and update the Company's corporate entity database (Corporation Service Company).

  • File a variety of regulatory documents with the applicable governmental entities.

  • Prepare board resolutions, annual filings, and other corporate governance filings.

  • Manage the Company's registered agents, officer/director lists, and the service of process.

  • Prepare prequalification submittals for contract bids.

  • Draft contract forms, correspondence, and a variety of corporate documents.

  • Maintain and improve the Company's transaction database.

  • Manage litigation holds, subpoena responses, document collection, and discovery responses.

  • Perform legal research and prepare legal memorandums.

  • Retrieve information from judicial, legislative, and industry databases.

  • Monitor and maintain a variety of administrative licenses.

  • Prepare expense reports and perform certain administrative functions.

  • Prepare reports and recommendations for management with regard to the status of corporate entities.

  • Develop strong working relationships with the operating companies.

  • Assist attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants on a variety of matters as part of a team.

  • Coordinate with internal and external attorneys on the management of legal matters.

  • Keep informed of current laws and regulations related to a variety of subject matter areas.

  • Maintain professional demeanor at all times while representing the Company.

  • Regular and predictable attendance at assigned times is required.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Education/Experience


  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

  • Paralegal Certificate preferred but not mandatory. Will consider equivalent work experience.

  • At least four years of experience as a paralegal in an in-house or law firm environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint for data analytics.

  • Proficiency using a virtual data room to upload and organize documents.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Superb attention to detail and follow-up skills.

  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.

  • Must be able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and work with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to cooperatively interact with all levels of personnel.

  • Sets high standards and continually seeks a better way to do things.

Work Requirements


  • Must be 18 years in age or older.

  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.

  • Strict adherence to the safety requirements and procedures outlined in the Employee Handbook.

  • Willingness to work independently within in a team environment and assist the team with other duties.

  • Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required.
