Training Director - Elizabeth, NJ (Full-time)
Coach USA/Megabus is looking for a leader to oversee our driver training program in Elizabeth NJ. Join the leading provider of transportation services in North America with over 25 operating locations throughout the US and Canada. Job Summary:

The Training Director is responsible for overseeing driver trainers in effectively developing pre-qualified employees into CDL qualified drivers as well as increasing moral and opportunity for advancement for employees. In this role you will act as the key link between the business, our drivers and our passengers. The Training Director is also responsible for assisting operations leadership with special assignments when not instructing.


Job Duties:

· Verify and complete required documentation and reports

· Demonstrate internal and external customer service

· Create and edit current curriculum to better educate participants

· Coordinate class schedules, schedule skills course and drive times, secure equipment and supplies and measure success of participants

· Oversee Driver Training instructors to ensure uniformity

· Collaborate with all levels of management to identify and implement creative solutions and improve retention

· Empower and mentor driver employees to thrive in a fast past, dynamic environment

· Comply with all applicable DOT laws/regulations as well as company policies and procedures


Required Skills:

· Must possess a CDL A or B license with Passenger Endorsement

· Must be willing to pursue their 19A examiner certification

· Must possess excellent communication skills

· Must be able to demonstrate patience and have the passion to teach/train others in a classroom setting

· Previous director/manager of training experience

· Acceptable driving record

· Need to pass a DOT medical and a DOT drug test

· Subject to a pre-employment criminal background check

· Proficient computer skills

· Commercial driving experience and/or relevant experience
