Lifeguard must have appropriate certifications in lifeguard training through the American Red Cross and American Heart Association.
Lifeguard must maintain current certification in lifeguard training, CPR for the Professional Rescuer and Standard First Aid and defib certified.
Lifeguard must maintain a level of fitness and ability to rescue clientele and provide CPR and/or First Aid, defib as needed.
Requirements
Must be at least 16 years of age and maintain current certifications in lifeguard training.
Certifications required are CPR for the Professional Rescuer, Standard First Aid and Defib. Lifeguard Certification through American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
Must have a working knowledge of all safety equipment and how to execute a life save in various stressful situations.
Ability to pay close attention and recognize distress member in a body of water. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
Ability to work under stress and contribute to the team environment.
Willingness to work flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
Physical requirements include, but not limited to: Lifting/pushing, standing, demonstration of lifting techniques and cardiovascular work outs.
Sitting and or standing for prolonged periods of time.
