Job Description:

BCS is currently in search of a Controller to support the business leaders of 12 KNA Service Centers (SC) and Visalia by being responsible for all financial affairs and act as a business partner.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

People Management


  • Hire, train, develop a team that operates efficiently in a pleasant work environment.
  • Implement succession planning for SC and Visalia finance roles.

Compliance

  • Act as an authority on GAAP/SOX related accounting matters, including areas such as revenue recognition and cost accounting.
  • Lead the General Accounting functions such as closing, financial reporting, fixed assets management, inter-company accounting, and daily P&L analysis.
  • Lead and optimize the efficiency of the month-end closing process for Visalia and 12 Service Centers.
  • Approve journal entries as requested by Arconic/BCS policies.
  • Complete balance sheet account reconciliations reviews.
  • Ensure testing of internal controls is performed to ensure adherence with Arconic and BCS internal audit policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate with internal/external auditors on the execution of financial, operational, and internal control audits.
  • Act as primary interface to corporate resources for accounting, tax and treasury matters.

Business Partnering

  • Coordinate and administer an adequate plan for the control of operations including profit planning and analysis, sales forecasts, expense budgets, variances to standard costs, saving opportunities, working capital (mainly inventory) levels and capital investing.
  • Partner with General Manager and Operations Manager to drive sustainable top and bottom line improvement by assessing risks and opportunities
  • Establish quantitative performance measures grounded in sound financial management techniques and provide the operating management with immediate and accurate information on a proactive basis.
  • Prepare data and generate Daily, Weekly and Monthly management reporting.
  • Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets and forecasts, including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flows.
  • Investigate variances between actual and budget/forecast financial results.
  • Lead the Business Case development for Cap Ex projects

  • Participate in special projects as assigned
Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree, or foreign equivalent, in Finance, Business, or Accounting from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 7 years of finance or accounting experience
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship provided.
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with compliance requirements resulting from SOX and US GAAP
  • CPA or CMA certification
  • Advanced experience in Excel and PowerPoint including VBA, complex formulas, and Think-Cell
  • Hyperion Systems experience
  • Experience with Oracle or JD Edwards ERP systems
  • Experience with month end closings in a fast-paced environment
