HORNE is seeking a Financial Preparation Senior Accounting Technician to support the franchise services division of the Mobile, AL office. The Financial Preparation Senior Technician will perform day-to-day functions for the firm using established systems and procedures and provide assistance to other franchise services team members.
Primary Responsibilities:
Account and payment reconciliation
Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments
Data analytics
Assist in training new team members
Research and resolve invoice discrepancies
Maintain W-9’s and 1099 status
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Other duties as assigned
Required Skills:
Strong project management skills
Experience leading a team strongly preferred
Basic knowledge of accounts principles
Interest in learning new skills and platforms as needed for new projects
Aptitude for self-guided learning on new technology
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
Experience using accounting software preferred
Required Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Some college preferred
2-5 years' accounting or accounts payable experience
Experience in public accounting strongly preferred
