The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
primary responsibilities  Will be but not limited to test and verifying of quality products. Learning and have knowledge of lab equipment.

• Performing assigned tests, inspections, and other tasks to determine specific characteristics of materials, in-process and final product samples using established procedures as required to ensure product quality. Performing mathematical calculations of test data to compare results to standards and identify variances.


• Preparing, operating, and maintaining test equipment through calibrations and standardization procedures. Operates experimental, prototype, or production test equipment.


• Documenting, interpreting, and maintaining test results and records.  Preparing reports as required. Communicates test results to appropriate staff, while responding to inquiries as necessary.


• Completing special requests from engineers, group leaders and/or supervisor. Participating as a team member on problem solving teams.

• Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:

• High school diploma/GED or higher from (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution 


• One (1) combined year manufacturing, quality and/or technician experience within a private, public, government or military environment


• Willingness to work 12 hour rotating shifts, work overtime, and be on-call as necessary.


• 
  

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Associates/Two Year Technical Degree or higher from an accredited institution


• Lab experience utilizing various testing methods including viscometry, rheometric, chromatography (GC, LC, IC), FTIR, ICP, and XRF technologies


• Solid written and oral communication skills


• Strong work ethic and the ability to multi-task and prioritize


• willingness to learn and utilize new skills and technologies to complete assigned task

Travel: May include up to 5%domestic/international

Relocation Assistance: Is not authorized

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
