About the Role


The Digital team is a central team within Gap Inc and a critical component of driving new and optimized features, technologies and experiences for our customers. We are constantly evolving the experience of being a customer at our brands. The Test and Learn COE is the central leader of analysis and solutions for diverse experiments and comparative measurement problems across our portfolio. We have an exciting opportunity to help shape how we use data and technology to reach our customers with personalized experiences across multiple marketing touch points. If you are an individual with excellent analytical skills and a passion for delivering data-driven insights, come join Gap Inc's Test & Learn Analytics Center of Excellence. You will partner with many brands and stakeholders, building relationships and partnering to roll out new a/b tests and drive insights for the business leaders.


This role is based out of the San Francisco office and requires you to be in the
office on an occasional basis for critical in-person meetings and/or job duties that cannot be performed remotely. What You'll Do



  • Partner with a cross-functional team (pod) to develop hypotheses and experiments to leverage data and technology to deliver better outcomes for customers through deeply personalized experiences

  • Design and conduct A/B and multi-variate tests by developing test plans, defining success metrics, analyzing and transforming data into actionable insights

  • Facilitate decision making by partnering with cross brand business partners to structure and execute disciplined tests, measure and analyze the results, and present out on findings and iterative ideas Leverage data visualization tools to curate reporting for cross-functional teams

  • Track and manage current and future tests and participate in cross-functional meetings to discuss timelines, recommend best-practices and share learnings

  • Prepare dashboards to share testing insights with internal stakeholders


Who You Are



  • 2-3 years of relevant experience

  • Skilled in principles of test design as well as measurement and statistical analysis of results

  • Skilled in data visualizations

  • Knowledge of SQL and R or Python a plus

  • Knowledge of retail and ecommerce customer domains highly desirable; experienced with digital experimentation and/or analytics tools.

  • The ability to manage milestones and continuous communication with stakeholders

  • Strong business acumen, and superior written, verbal and presentation skills

  • Anticipate operational/program issues and develops preventative measures

  • Apply fully functional professional knowledge in Analytics

  • Bachelor's degree (preferably in a quantitative field such as math, statistics, physics, engineering, economics, computer science); Master's degree desired, but not required. ​
