About the Role


The Digital Performance & Growth team works with the central and brand business teams to deliver and foster successful usage of commercial retail technology with a focus on helping to discover breakthrough business impact. Our goal is to continuously improve the commerce platforms through accelerated adoption of off-the-shelf tools and services, along with the support required to enable continued growth.


This role is based out of the San Francisco office. Currently, job duties are being performed remotely. However, the Company may in the future require you/this role to be in the office on a full-time or part-time basis. Pursuant to Gap Inc.'s policy, all employees who wish to enter Gap Inc.'s San Francisco Bay Area, New York, and Albuquerque office buildings will need to be vaccinated, unless an exemption from the vaccine requirement is approved due to an accommodation for a disability or for a sincerely held religious belief.


What You'll Do


This position supports the family of Gap Inc. brands' eCommerce teams by developing, coding, deploying and modifying responsive marketing content that is personalized to the site. Specific daily duties will include:



  • Influence developer team direction, DevOps and technical process to improve team efficiency and happiness

  • Build A/B test and personalization experiences using a mix of marketing technology and HTML, JSON, CSS and vanilla JavaScript

  • Bring a solutioning mindset to projects to come up with unique ways to solve challenges and help drive business

  • Understand the connections between marketing technology, back-end technologies and the user experience on site.


Who You Are



  • Technical expert in HTML, CSS and Vanilla JavaScript. Experience with react a plus but not required

  • A problem solver who enjoys solving technical challenges

  • Excellent Cross-functional communicator who can explain technical concepts and benefits in plain language

  • Strong organizational, collaborative and time management skills

  • Exhibits strong written and oral communication skills; including strong time and project management and problem solving skills
