We are looking for a Senior FPGA Design Engineer to join the Camera Systems Development team, which is part of the Intelligent Vision Systems group of GN Jabra in Cupertino, CA.


As a member of our Camera Systems Development team, you will gain valuable experience in how to develop and deploy industry-leading Intelligent Vision system products.


As a Senior FPGA Design Engineer, you will engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary staff to conceive and design innovative video collaboration products. You must be responsible, flexible and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment. You will work closely with an internal inter-disciplinary team and outside partners to drive key aspects of product definition, execution and test.



DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Be responsible for micro-architecture and design implementation of various Image processing blocks in the pipeline

  • Be comfortable working with Xilinx and Cadence tools, as well as, writing Verilog code.

  • Understand DDR bandwidth requirements and overall FPGA utilization

  • Work closely with imaging scientists to analyze trade-offs based on features, performance, and limitations that can feasibly be implemented on the FPGA

  • Run simulations to verify RTL and fix timing violations

  • Use debugging tools, such as, oscilloscope and Xilinx Platform Cable




REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE



  • BSEE or MSEE or similar field

  • 5+ years of relevant industry work experience

  • Experience in RTL design (Verilog), verification, synthesis and timing closure

  • Strong technical leadership skills and the ability to collaborate with other groups

  • Experience with Xilinx, Simvision, logic analyzer, oscilloscope

  • Proficient in C/C++, Unix shell scripting

  • Strong communication skills




PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE



  • Digital video processing is a plus.

  • Great at problem solving and debugging

  • Understanding of ASIC design flows is a plus

  • A passion for creating and building things
