Finance Manager/Business Partner




Hypertherm is seeking a forward leaning, highly energetic and collaborative problem solver to be the Finance Manager/Business Partner, Heavy Industrial Business (HIB) to provide support and business partnership to the HIB General Manager (GM). The Business Partner will be embedded with the HIB team and responsible together with the HIB GM to ensure not only the accomplishment of annual goals but also set the strategic course for the future of the business.


The role will lead and facilitate the team in making sound business decisions related to investments, technology roadmaps, business strategy, long range, and annual plans. Further, this role will act as the HIB liaison between the business and the finance, IS and legal (FISL) organization within Hypertherm to ensure the HIB gets the full breadth of support, capability, and expertise from the FISL function.


The ideal candidate will be a finance leader who is passionate about making a positive impact on the success of the business every day. We want a business partner who likes to operate both hands-on within the daily operation of the business and as a strategic thought leader in setting the long-term course for the business as a confidant and financial guide to the GM and (his/her) team.



Who you are and the experience you bring:

• 
  Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
  
  
  


• 
  10+ years of progressive extensive experience to Operations Finance within a larger manufacturing company while additional experience in the following areas would also be beneficial: Financial Planning and Analysis, Sales Finance, Business Development and Strategy
  
  


• Excellent analytical, strategic thinking and business acumen skills
  
  


• Strong oral, written, and presentation skills to deliver effective, confident, and results-oriented communications and presentations
  
  


• Comfortable in frequent interaction with personnel at all levels of the organization.
  
  


• Have a track record of driving key decisions through facts, data, insights, and solutions
  
  

Preferred experience that differentiates you:

• Qualified: CPA or CMA
  
  


• MBA or master's
  
  


• Skills with Oracle Planning tools such as Oracle EPM, Hyperion, Essbase
  
  


• Oracle ERP
  
  


• Matrix reporting environment
  
  


• Knowledge of the industrial equipment industry
  
  


• BI tools (Power BI)
