IDC is seeking an experienced Director of Marketing to lead a team focused on driving demand for our Data & Analytics Solutions. The Director of Marketing will also be the global marketing owner for IDC's new Knowledge Platform, a leading-edge experience that leverages our proprietary data to provide the only 360-degree view of the IT market.

The right candidate will have strong experience in building and driving marketing strategies for a product-led growth approach, focused on lead generation and customer expansion efforts. The Director of Marketing will also work closely with regional marketing leaders to coordinate our global go to market activities for the platform.

Responsibilities

  • Day to day management of U.S. marketers focused on supporting Data & Analytics portfolio awareness and demand generation activities
  • Work closely with product leaders and business owners to build external positioning and launch efforts for the new data platform
  • Develop content and digital marketing, social media, and other lead generation assets that drive multi-channel sourced marketing qualified leads (MQLs)
  • Support sales readiness requirements for key data products including sales conversation and prospecting support, training materials, and product presentations
  • Enable regional sales and marketing teams with content assets they can leverage to speed time to market
  • Work with the customer success team to develop case studies and customer advocacy content for our data products
  • Oversee and report on marketing results including program engagement and pipeline contribution


Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Marketing, Communications or other related degree; or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of relevant B2B marketing experience (IT industry preferred)
  • Experience with marketing automation required, Marketo preferred
  • Experience with SEO, Google AdWords and social advertising required
  • 2+ years of previous manager experience is required
  • Experience with platform/SaaS marketing is preferred
  • Strong organization, prioritization, planning, and strategic thinking skills
  • Self-manages and motivated with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines and priorities
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with strong relationship building skills
  • Excellent writing skills and ability to interpret data and business concepts to tell a clear and impactful story
  • 5-10% travel (post-COVID)
  • This role is ideally located in IDC's Needham, MA headquarters, but we will consider qualified candidates in approved remote U.S. and Canada locations
