Kforce's client, a leading Long Island, NY based CPA firm is seeking a Director of Business Development. The Director will be responsible for leading all aspects of the sales process, including prospecting and development of sales strategy, and responsible for the life cycle of the sales process through direct prospecting, networking, attendance and participation with various industry, community, professional groups, and networking associations.
Duties Include:
Director of Business Development will work with Partners to effectively and efficiently identify and target key companies
Source and qualify opportunities
Support Partners and Principals in cross-selling additional services to existing and new clients where appropriate
Support and drive the professional team pursuing services with new clients
Responsible for executing the sales plan and process, including coordination of all necessary internal and external resources
Actively work networking contacts, professional affiliations, and related industry groups in order to expand the Firm's market share
As a Director of Business Development, you will work closely with marketing resources to develop effective, go-to-market plans for the industries
Work closely with management to provide ongoing, current feedback relative to market opportunities
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree
10+ years of a track record of demonstrated success in selling professional business to businesses services
Experience leading complex sales processes that involve multiple team members and multiple decision makers (primarily C-suite decision makers)
Solid networks including banking, legal and other professional services
Demonstrated experience working with contacts in the middle market
Excellent influence and negotiation skills
Must be motivated and self-disciplined
Able to work in office and travel as necessary
