General Statement of Duties:Design and develop reporting solutions for the Accounting and Finance Departments using Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services to improve financial reporting and information through automation.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Design SSRS reports, based on user requirements.
Create and test SQL Statements for data presentation and further automation.
Create views, stored procedures or functions to support efficient data queries.
Create check constraints to maintain data integrity.
Document functionality and designs of reports.
Interact with Accounting/Finance team to analyze business needs.
Work with Business Analyst to understand and refine user requirements.
Ability to translate design/program specifications to clean code.
Troubleshoot issues with reports currently in production, and provide timely fixes.
Setting up and monitoring routine maintenance SQL jobs and developing / maintaining an alert strategy(s) for failed jobs or database problems and/or failures.
Manage daily/monthly data and reporting processes automated through SQL Server Agent.
Keep abreast with latest technology trends.
Assist with system conversions, updates, etc.
Ensure compliance with all regulations, policies and procedures.
Perform additional accountabilities as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
B.S in Computer Science, Information Computer Systems or related field.
Advanced technical knowledge and minimum 3 years' experience with Microsoft SQL server development technologies.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
5+ Experience with SSMS, SSRS & SSAS; Visual Studio & Microsoft Report Builder
Strong expertise writing MS T-SQL Server queries and stored procedures
Experience producing work utilized by senior level employees in the company, and which is critical for business decision-making.
Must have an eye for detail and the discipline to create high-quality work, which is visually appealing to user base.
Experience working with banking, financial and regulatory reporting data a plus.
SSIS a plus.
