Best Buy Virtual Sales Experts engage customers using relationship skills, inspires them to see what's possible through technology, and enables an experience above and beyond their expectations. This engagement takes place through vehicles such as video, phone, and online chat. This role must have strong relationship, listening, and multi-tasking skills to enable an exceptional customer experience. The ability to easily understand and navigate technology interfaces that will be used for customer interactions is key. Best Buy Virtual Sales Experts are responsible for maintaining knowledge of products and services through necessary trainings, certifications, and self-development. They serve as experts in their respective product categories. They also deliver profitability by exceeding revenue, margin, and operational targets as well as leveraging technology to collaborate and network with their peer group in other locations.

Key Responsibilities


  • Helps drive a positive customer experience by building relationships, exhibiting empathy, and providing solutions to their needs.

  • Completes job-related tasks through a variety of virtual platforms within a Best Buy Virtual Store location.

  • Motivates and guides customers through their digital shopping experience.

  • Consults with customers to understand their current and future technology needs.

  • Remains current on credentials, certifications, and continuing education requirements.

  • Utilizes soft skills to interact and create a human delivered experience via a digital platform.

  • Provides in-depth demonstrations and solutions across different virtual platforms.

  • Interacts with customers via live-video, phone, concurrent online screen sharing, and online chat

  • Provides insights to local and corporate support teams to evolve the employee and customer experiences.

  • Assists Best Buy associates in need of expertise, including product demonstrations and peer to peer training.

  • Maintains merchandising and functionality standards of products and spaces throughout the virtual store.

  • Provides engaging and dynamic product demonstrations and unboxing videos for customers and employees.

Basic Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • 1 year of sales, customer service, or retail experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fluent with technology, including social and video platforms

  • Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Teams

  • Willing to participate in research with internal teams

  • 2 years of sales, customer service, or retail experience

  • Consumer electronics experience

  • Multilingual
