The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Regional Distribution Leader for Electrical Construction & Industrial Markets Distribution, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:


  • Identify, influence, and manage new sales and conversion opportunities in the Channel

  • Report and manage product stock levels and new product stock suggestions to generate orders

  • Build relationships with new and existing stakeholders to grow sales

  • Identify and develop marketing and promotional activities

  • Communicate, present, and sell local and national promotions to multiple stakeholders

  • Coordinate and implement events, training, and merchandising sales plans

  • Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews with top accounts

  • Manage contracts and RFQ’s

  • Conduct multiple weekly Authorized Distributor branch visits

  • Training distributor counter and sales personnel

  • Works on a team of C&I sales professionals and partner 3M divisions
     

Company Vehicle

This position requires driving a company vehicle, which will require pre-employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history for candidates who are offered and hired for this position .

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • High School Diploma and ten (10) years of experience calling on and/or selling into Electrical Distribution

OR


  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution and three (3) years experience calling on and/or selling into Electrical Distribution

  • Experience in communicating with store management and associates in a private, public, government or military environment

  • Current, Valid Driver’s license

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role includes:


  • Proven track record of managing a territory and growing sales

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and expectations simultaneously

  • Possess sales and negotiating skills

  • Ability to assemble displays

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to all levels

  • Experience working in a matrix environment or large complex organization

  • Strong computer skills, Database management: PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Salesforce

Location: remote based within Indiana/Kentucky

Territory: States of Indiana and Kentucky

Travel: May include up to 20% Domestic travel within the territory

Relocation Assistance:  May be authorized

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
